Substance Abuse Certification New Jersey
One of the many benefits of taking a Certified Addiction Professional course at the Academy for Addiction Professionals is reciprocity. The educational curriculum and resultant certificate offer the opportunity reciprocal certification in states throughout the country and in several countries and territories. Currently, the Certified Addiction Professional license is eligible for reciprocation as an Alcohol & Drug Counselor (ADC) per the IC&RC. For those Certified Addiction Counselors that qualify to upgrade their certification to a Certified Addiction Professional, they will have the ability to reciprocate their license with the Addiction Professionals Certification Board of New Jersey when approved by the Florida Certification Board. Upgrade applications are available here.
In order to learn more about transferring or adding to your certification, please contact the IC&RC as well as the Addiction Professionals Certification Board of New Jersey. Please remember that minimum requirements for certification vary from state to state. it is important that you ensure that you meet all requirements for reciprocity.
