Addiction Counselor Certifications: A Step by Step Guide
Step 1: Deciding to pursue an education in the addiction field is the first major step toward a new, exciting and lucrative field. The addiction field is unlike most career paths in that it offers a combination of exciting day to day work and fulfilling work, helping people with their problems every day.
Step 2: Now you have a decision to make – which course to take? The academy offers classes towards certification in three major addiction counselor certifications. Each of these courses is approved by the Florida Certification Board, the administrating body for each certification. CAP: Certified Addiction Professional
CAS: Certified Addiction Specialist
CAC: Certified Addiction Counselor
CBHT: Certified Behavioral Health Technician

Step 3: Download and fill out our addiction counselor registration form if paying by check, cash or money order. You can download the form here or register online here. Fax it to: 954.771.2098
