Certified Behavioral Health Technician Course Information
Thank you for your interest in becoming a certified behavioral health technician. As a CBHT you will most often assist counselors and therapists by providing critical support services to patients who are receiving drug rehab, substance abuse or mental health treatment in a variety of treatment settings. With this certification you will be taking a huge step forward in your career in the addiction industry. | Category: | Requirement: |
| Degree: | High School Diploma, GED or higher |
| Work Experience: | 1,000 hours of direct experience in behavioral health. |
| Supervision: | 24 hours which must include a minimum of 4 hours per performance domain. Remaining hours may be met in any performance domain. |
| Training: | 30 hours of training allocated as follows:
• Electives – 10 hours |
