New Internship Opportunities
In conjunction with our sister company, treatment center Destination Hope, we have developed a comprehensive internship program for aspiring counselors and behavioral technicians. Students can apply for a hands-on, part-time or full-time internship that can be used to hone their skills in the treatment setting or receive work experience credit to be used toward their Florida Certification Board requirements for certification. These internship programs will offer significant hands-on experience and has the potential to becoming a full time career depending on the candidate’s performance.
Many of our students arrive at their first class without the work experience to qualify for one or more of the certifications that they are seeking. This internship program will help those who need that experience to get it, while also completing their educational requirements for certification.
Depending on their availability and schedule, there are two separate internships – one for prospective counselors and another for behavioral health technicians. Candidates may choose between a twenty hour per week or forty hour per week internship. Counselor internships will last a minimum of six months while behavioral tech internships will last at least three months.
