Scholarships Available for Qualifying Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) Candidates
The New York Certification Association has recently begun offering certification for the Recovery Peer Advocate. The CRPA’s services rendered at qualifying facilities may be reimbursed by Medicaid. Indeed, peer recovery services represent a growing and important part of the recovery process.
In addition, through the NYS OASAS and NYC, scholarships for qualifying candidates are available for:
- Training fees
- Exam fees
- Application fees
- Retroactive reimbursement for application or exam
This is an excellent opportunity for those wishing to get certified in New York State and represents a mitigation of most of the administrative costs of certification.
Qualification for financial assistance is at the sole discretion of the NYCA and an application must be submitted on their website.
