Professional Readiness

This course will provide the student with information on the interplay between the professional code of ethics, cultural diversity, clinical supervision and how they aide in shaping the professional addiction counselor. The student will be asked throughout this course to self-examine their values and beliefs as part of forming their professional selves.

Course Objectives:

  1. The student will be able to define their roles as an addiction professional.
  2. The student will be able to define addiction professional expectations set forth by the Florida Certification Board, HIPAA and other governing bodies.
