Hello and thank you for your interest in The Academy for Addiction Professionals! The Academy is an approved education provider in Florida (FCB). We have the courses necessary for you to take the MCAP, which may be called AADC outside Florida. Details of our courses can be found here:

The training requires 161 hours of training. At least 15 hours must be allocated to an elective in the professional practice dimensions:
- Understanding Addiction – 45 hours
- Treatment Knowledge – 45 hours
- Application to Practice – 20 hours
- Professional Readiness – 20 hours
- Supervision – 16 hours
- Electives – 15 Hours
If you already hold a CAP, your training can be used toward the MCAP by ensuring you have the following 20 hours of training.
- Supervision – 16 hours
- HIV/AIDS – 4 hours
- Domestic Violence – 2 hours
Important – For Out of State Students
Our courses may qualify toward ADC certification requirements in the following states: AL, AK, AZ, CO, CT, HI, ID, IA, MD, MI, MS, NC, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, PA, RI, SC, TN, VT, WV via our NAADAC providership. However, we suggest contacting your board to confirm this information.
